Aesculus indica

Aesculus indica is a large tree from the northwestern Himalayas

It reaches about 18-20 meters in height

Leaves composed mostly of 7 lanceolate, dark green leaflets reaching up to 30 cm in length

White-pink flowers, gathered in cylindrical panicles up to 40 cm in length, appearing in early summer.

Fruits (chestnuts) ovate, non-prickly, with smooth skin.
Aesculus indica requires soil that retains moisture, tolerates hardened surfaces.
