Acacia mearnsii

 

Acacia mearnsii, commonly known as black wattle or green wattle, is a spreading shrub or erect tree, endemic to southeastern Australia.
It grows to a height of 10 metres
The leaves are bipinnate, dark green, matte, green, and each part of the compound leaf is extremely small and covered with fine hairs.

The flowers are fragrant, arranged in globular heads, pale yellow or cream.

The pod is straight or twisted, dark brown when mature.
