It reaches up to 4m in height.
Leaves are bipinnate, composed of small, small leaflets.
Flowers are small, yellow, clustered in a capitate inflorescence.
The essential oil contained in the flowers is used in the perfume industry because of the flowers that smell like violets.
The fruit is a brown pod.
